Artist Statement Conscious by my identity as a Mexican-American artist and the current political climate, my art addresses issues around movement, migration, geography, deterritorialization, and memory. My work surveys the shifting and multiple identities at the border to better understand the complexities of two cultures coexistence by conducting fieldwork in remote landscapes.
